My Wallet Hell

My wallet
I don't want to boast but I have a wallet that rivals the 'Costanza', that enormous money-containing monstrosity carried by the Seinfeld character. It currently holds three credit cards, one debit card, two airline loyalty cards, one security swipe card, one supermarket loyalty card, one combined supermarket loyalty card and credit card, two medical cards, one Hong Kong ID card, a photograph of my wife and I (that much from memory) plus two bookshop loyalty cards (one expired), my Octopus card, one gym membership card, another debit card, two plectrums and a UK driving license. And maybe twenty dollars in cash, and forty or fifty invoices, receipts and bills that I should really have removed and thrown in the bin.

Waiting for JetBlue

Was this the culprit?

Last night I trod in a dog turd. It was exactly outside the doorway of the apartment block, and I spent ten minutes hopping up and down on my other foot, hopping mad as I tried to clean the muck off.

Up on the roof

Last night I got the keys for our new flat, and took an inventory of the place with the estate agent. I'm not sure you could really call it an inventory, so much as "walking around an empty flat making sure the air conditioning units turned on and off" - but that's not quite as snappy. I went to the gym after this excitement, then stumbled home, only to find my girlfriend incredibly excited by the thought of somewhere new to live, so back we went to the flat, carrying several fragile items with us, and after exhausting the exciting possibilities of a flat with nothing in it but some fragile items and two air conditioners, we went up on the roof.
