Poetry and sweat

Today I went to the gym at lunchtime, which turned out to be a mistake. I assumed that after half an hour of exerting myself over the rowing machine I'd be suffused with a post-exercise glow that would keep me cheery through the afternoon. Instead, I read a perfunctory email on the way back from the gym and was in a huff for the rest of the afternoon, this state of mind worsened by having worn myself out. At least I had remembered a change of clothes, rather than going to the office in a nylon singlet and a pair of short shorts.

Religious Limericks

I'm reading Robin Ince's Bad Book Club, and I was amused to discover somebody has rewritten the Bible in limerick form. Except for Leviticus and Revelation. So:
There are some things you ought not to do,
Like sleep with men, or get a tattoo.
(These things might have hurt
When you're in a desert
But are they relevant now to you?)
Well, that was godawful, and at the same time, lacking the commitment to utter intolerance that part of Leviticus seems to involve. I wonder what the actual version is like. Or if I should have another go, but this time trying to jam "Whore of Babylon" into an AABBA rhyme scheme.
