Only boring people get bored
But I'm very bored. Very bored indeed. I've spent all day trying to do something dull with a spreadsheet, and the only spice in this lacklustre task is that whatever dull thing I did with that selfsame spreadsheet two months ago, somebody somewhere else has changed something so that dull thing no longer does what it did. What am I doing with my life?

Relaxing, however you can
Last night I saw Alice in Wonderland, Tim Burton's 3D epic, on its opening night in Hong Kong. It's a sign of how far 3D movies have come that the whole film didn't consist of things moving towards the screen and away again ALL THE BLOODY TIME.
See, I'm still bitter about Beowulf. The pain of watching a demon with high-heeled feet may never subside.

Thank you, Mr Slater
I had my first cup of coffee in a month today - made it through January without once submitting to the devil of caffeine. This was markedly better than a few years ago, when I was only capable of fulfilling my duties by doublefisting cans of Coke.
