Internet Dating & Philosophy

While driving around today, realised that some of my mutterings on game theoretic approaches to dating were neatly summarised a few hundred years ago, by good old Pascal and his Wager. (For details of which, I'll point you here) for a short explanation. Of course, we're computing the right thing to do with meeting women, rather than selection of appropriate belief structures, but I think the point holds true nonetheless.
Not wishing to give up hope, I guess it may be time to have a pop at the Wager itself, and suggest reasons why it doesn't hold up. Will do so when I get back from my conference call...
