How do you like those onions?
I woke aggressively hungover this morning. Last night, after being informed of my obsolecence by a Samsung employee, I'd clearly been affected, and ended up drinking heavily at a bar called The Bank, at 1 Shenton, on Shenton Way, which is a street full of banks, and thus a terrible place to give directions to. I suppose if they'd called it The Toilet it would be worse, but only slightly.

Confusion, Thai style

Today we saw the man who lied to us yesterday about the tourist boat, yelling at a tourist in a wheelchair. Then we went to Wat Pho, the temple of the reclining Buddha, had an argument with a taxi driver who didn't want to use the meter in his car, took a different taxi to the train station, got laughed at by a security guard, had a Swedish massage in a spa off Sukhumvit Road, an Italian meal in a Thai cafe, and then went back to our hotel.

Espresso Beer
Espresso beer is one of those wonderful contradictions, like, er, methampetamine-laced cannabis. Hang on, that's not very family friendly. It's like cauliflower-flavoured bacon. It's like cruelty-free foie gras, it's like a low-calorie cattleprod, it's like a canine-friendly Mitt Romney. (That will be so dated if read in 5 years' time.)
