I couldn't find a picture of Jason Statham, so here's another bald bloke looking slightly stern

On Valentine's Day last year, I was full of gloom and had to be cheered up by watching Overboard. This year we wanted to do the opposite, so instead of staying in and watching a scruffy longhaired man in overalls taking advantage of an amnesiac socialite, we went out to the cinema to watch a well dressed bald guy beat some people up, while JLo looked aghast.

Woozy

I slept until noon, then rolled out of bed. My neck is still stiff and sore as hell, but the muscle relaxants are sure making me sleepy. I managed a few hours of semi-consciousness and then fell back asleep again.

Transport of delights

This evening we watched Transporter 3, the third Transporter film. Unlike the first two, it's missing the 'The', but all the other significant parts remain. There's a big black Audi. There's Jason Statham, with his top off. There's an "actress" from somewhere in Europe, who is out-acted by the Statham's left pectoral. And there's some fighting.

Rocknrolla

Rocknrolla is a strange, strange film, more so viewed from 2011, when the claims that London was rising, bouyant on waves of cash, to become the capital of the world, seem somehow piquant following the crash. Oh, how hollow that seems now, viewed from the ever-so-serious side of history.

The Expendables

Sunday came, so as per usual I took a boat to Peng Chau to sit around and eat cheese, but catastrophically, the Frenchman who runs Copains D'abord was skiving off so we had to have some Thai food and then went back to Central to watch The Expendables.

Of raisins, and weight

I woke up early today, to the happy discovery that I only weighed 172 lbs. This is not the greatest achievement of my life, or even of this month (how I remember back to the Glorious Fifteenth, when I weighed a mere 171 lbs), but it was an achievement of sorts.

Crank 3 and beyond

I'm happy to reveal after the critical acclaim and popular love of Crank and Crank: High Voltage, more sequels have been confirmed!

Revolver

I bought Revolver today. Not the Beatles album, the Jason Statham vehicle. And when I say 'Jason Statham vehicle', I don't mean a supercharged Audi from The Transporter. Er. That was a little confusing.
